Former Eagle Kareem Storey Inks Contract in Kosovo
MOREHEAD, Ky. – Former Morehead State Eagle point guard Kareem Storey has agreed to terms with KB Feronikeli in Kosovo.
 
The hoops team fields their competition in the Kosovo Basketball First League. Located within the District of Pristina, the town of Glogovac plays host to the club, housing approximately 6,100 citizens.
 
A native of Baltimore, Md., the former Eagle floor general Storey has already made his impact known in his new destination. On Dec. 8, he logged 18 points, seven assists, six rebounds, and three steals in 28 minutes off the bench during his Kosovo debut.
 
Storey continues his stint in Eastern Europe after seasons in Romania with CSM Medias, Lucenec in Slovakia, and stateside with the PBL's (Premier Basketball League) Lake Michigan Admirals. In 20 games with Medias, the Charm City product produced 14.2 points per game, in addition to four assists, three rebounds, and leading the team in steals with 2.8 per contest.
 
Storey graduated from Morehead State University in May 2015 with a bachelor's degree.
 
Throughout his collegiate career, Storey made his calling card for being a reliable workhorse wherever he went, totaling 134 games played throughout his four seasons of eligibility. Prior to his time at Morehead State, he played a season each with Utah, and then with the College of Southern Idaho.
 
As a junior donning the blue & gold, Storey constructed his finest performance as a distributor, tabbing a school-record for assists in a game, dishing 16 assists against South Dakota on Dec. 19, 2013 at Johnson Arena. His 302 career assists currently ranks ninth in the record book for Morehead State.
 
As a senior, Storey led the Eagles in assists and ranked fourth in the Ohio Valley Conference with 4.5 dishes per tilt. He posted double-figure scoring efforts 12 times, while also eclipsing five assists on a dozen occasions. It was during the 2014-15 slate that Storey tabbed his career high in scoring, pouring in 22 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the floor on Jan. 10, 2015 in Martin, Tenn.
