MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State's rich basketball history has produced a plethora of players who have gone on to success in professional leagues, whether in the NBA or in various leagues in foreign countries.
Below is an update on recent alums who are currently still playing professional basketball.
Kenneth Faried (last season 2010-11) - After seeing his playing time dwindle over the last year with the team who drafted him, the Denver Nuggets, Faried was traded to the Brooklyn Nets. While it didn't work out there either, Faried has seen a resurgence now with the Houston Rockets. He is averaging 16.2 ppg, 10.4 rpg, 1.1 apg and 1.1 bpg in 10 games played so far.
Lyonell Gaines (last season 2015-16) - Gaines is a major factor for Santos de San Luis Potosi (12-25 record) in Mexico. Gaines recently was the top scorer on the team with 27 points. He also added nine rebounds and dished five assists in his latest action. There are only three games left until the end of the regular season. It's Gaines' first season with the team. This year Gaines has been extremely productive, with averages of 22.8 ppg, 9.1 rpg and 2.3 apg. Gaines is also a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered one of the top international summer leagues in the market.
Demonte Harper (last season 2010-11) - Harper plays for Sidigas AV in Italy. In a victory against the 12th-ranked Germani BR (8-11) (79-67) in the Italian Serie A in Sunday night's game, he recorded six points, six rebounds and six assists in 20 minutes. It was his first game for Sidigas AV this season. His team is fifth in the Serie A. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses.
Brent Arrington (last season 2015-16) - Arrington was the major contributor in a Saint John Riptide (Canada) victory against the Moncton Magic (90-83) in the NBL Canada last Wednesday. He recorded 23 points, five rebounds and three assists. It was his first game for Saint John Riptide this season, an impressive performance considering it's only Arrington's third season in pro basketball.
Angelo Warner (last season 2014-15) - Warner suits up for Sopron KC in Hungary. Despite Warner's good performance in his last outing, Sopron KC was edged 73-72 in Kecskemet by the higher-ranked (#6) KTE-Duna. He recorded 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals in 33 minutes. Warner has very impressive stats this year with 19.1 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 5.2 apg and 1.9 spg in 19 games.
Anthony Elechi (last season 2015-16) - Elechi is standout for the Surrey Scorchers in England. Despite his good performance in his last game, the Scorchers were defeated 112-98 in Plymouth by the much higher-ranked Raiders (#4). Elechi recorded 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Elechi has relatively good stats this season, averaging 11.5 ppg and 9.8 rpg. Elechi is also a former Eurobasket Summer League player.
Chad Posthumus (last season 2013-14) - He managed to help the Halifax (Canada) Hurricanes in a victory against the Island Storm 101-83 in the NBL Canada last Saturday. Posthumus recorded five points in 12 minutes. Posthumus has relatively good stats this year, averaging 11.5 ppg and 9.8 rpg in four games.
Xavier Moon (last season 2016-17) - Moon helped the London (Canada) Lightning win their game against the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans, crushing them 134-108 in the NBL Canada on Saturday night. He recorded 15 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals. Moon has relatively good stats this season, putting in 11.5 ppg and 9.8 rpg.
Corban Collins (last season 2015-16)Â - Collins finished with 22 points, nine rebounds, and six assists in BC Lulea's (Sweden) victory over the weekend. As of writing, he leads the league in scoring at 20.5 PPG, is sixth in assists at 4.5 per contest, and ninth in steals, with 1.6 takeaways per tilt.
Kareem Storey (last season 2014-15)Â - Storey's most recent effort saw him log 22 points, five rebounds, and four assists for the C.S. Municipal Medias hoops club in Romania.

Karam Mashour (last season 2014-15) plays for Bnei Hertzeliya in Israeli Winner League
Ty'Quan Bitting (last season 2016-17) plays for Rahoveci in Kosovan Superliga
DeJuan Marrero (last season 2016-17) plays for Humacao in Puerto Rican BSN
