MOREHEAD, Ky. –The Morehead State women's basketball team returns to the hardwood on Thursday as they host Ohio Valley Conference foe Austin Peay at 5:05 p.m. ET at Johnson Arena.

The Eagles, who have won eight of their last 10 games, enter the matchup with a record of 18-7 and 9-3 in OVC play. Austin Peay currently sits at 11-12 overall and 6-6 against the league.

ALL-TIME SERIES VS THE GOVS
Morehead State and Austin Peay will meet for the 81st time on Thursday in a series that began on Feb. 13, 1978, with an Eagles' win in Clarksville, Tenn. MSU and APSU have evenly split the first 80 meetings 40-40.

LAST TIME OUT AGAINST AUSTIN PEAY
The Governors erased a seven-point deficit over the final 3:49 to defeat Morehead State 81-80 at the Dunn Center on Jan. 5 of this season. The Eagles were led by
Miranda Crockett with 22 points and nine rebounds. Austin Peay's Keisha Gregory recorded a game-high 25 points.

WHAT A WIN WOULD MEAN
A win over the Govs on Thursday would give Morehead State its 19th win of the 2018-19 season. It would mark the first time ever the Eagles have won at least 19 games in three consecutive seasons. It would also mark only the second time in program history that MSU has had three consecutive seasons with at least 10 OVC wins. The Eagles went 11-7 (2008-09), 14-4 (2009-10), and 13-5 (2010-11) in a three-year window.

CROCKETT'S LAST EXPEDITION
Senior
Miranda Crockett continues to climb the Morehead State record books in her final season in the blue & gold. Crockett has amassed 1,659 points in her career which ranks fifth on the Eagles' all-time points leader board. The Martinsville, Va., native is 38 points away from overtaking Julie Magrane (1988-92, 1,697) for fourth and is 51 points away from surpassing Donna Stephens (1978-82, 1,710) for third on the scoring list. AWARD WINNING
Three Eagles have been honored this season by the OVC with weekly honors. Junior
Aliyah Jeune (Nov. 13), senior
Miranda Crockett (Nov. 20), and senior
Tierra McGowan (Jan. 22) have each won OVC Player of the Week once. Jeune, who sat out last season after transferring from Rutgers, has been named the league's Newcomer of the Week on four different occasions (Nov. 14, Nov. 27, Jan. 8, Jan. 22).

600TH PROGRAM WIN
Morehead State's win over SUIE on Jan. 31, 2019 marked the programs 600th victory. Morehead State, which began playing women's basketball in 1970, has an all-time record of 602-659.

THE TODDFATHER
Head coach
Greg Todd moved to third in the MSU record book for all-time wins with his 77th victory as the bench boss when his team defeated UT Martin on Jan. 19, 2019. Todd surpassed former coach Laura Litter (1997-2005). Todd is in his fifth season at the helm of the program.
