GAME NOTES

SERIES VS JACKSONVILLE STATE
Morehead State and Jacksonville State will be meeting for the 35th time on Thursday evening in a series that began during the 2002-03 season. The Eagles hold a 20-14 advantage in the series that includes a 66-55 win on Jan. 27 of this season at Johnson Arena.

BRINGING THE BROOMS
Morehead State will go for the season sweep of Jacksonville State on Thursday after defeating the Gamecocks 66-55 on Jan. 27 at home. The last time Morehead State pulled a sweep of Jacksonville State was during the 2015-16 season - JSU managed to sweep the Eagles in three meetings last season (2017-18) which included knocking MSU out of the OVC Tournament in the opening round.

LAST MEETING RECAP
Despite shooting its second lowest percentage from the field of the season (21-68, .309), the Eagles managed to get to the line for easy points (20-27) on their way to a 11-point win. Miranda Crockett paced a group of four Eagles who scored in double-figures with 18 points.

CROCKETT'S LAST EXPEDITION
Senior Miranda Crockett continues to climb the Morehead State record books in her final season in the blue & gold. Crockett has amassed 1,690 points in her career which ranks fifth on the Eagles' all-time points leaderboard. The Martinsville, Va., native is just 7 points away from overtaking Julie Magrane (1988-92, 1,697) for fourth and is 20 points away from surpassing Donna Stephens (1978-82, 1,710) for third on the scoring list. Crockett has scored 10+ points in 31 consecutive games, dating back to Feb. 15, 2018, at Tennessee State.

NEVER BEFORE
For the first time in program history, the Morehead State women's basketball team has won at least 19 games in three consecutive seasons. The team's win over Eastern Kentucky on Feb. 16 helped the team to the milestone. The win over EKU also gave MSU 10 wins in OVC play, which has now occurred for three consecutive seasons - another first for the program.

AWARD WINNING
Three Eagles have been honored this season by the OVC with weekly honors. Junior Aliyah Jeune (Nov. 13), senior Miranda Crockett (Nov. 20), and senior Tierra McGowan (Jan. 22) have each won OVC Player of the Week once. Jeune, who sat out last season after transferring from Rutgers, has been named the league's Newcomer of the Week on four different occasions (Nov. 14, Nov. 27, Jan. 8, Jan. 22).

600TH PROGRAM WIN
Morehead State's win over SUIE on Jan. 31, 2019 marked the programs 600th victory. Morehead State, which began playing women's basketball in 1970, has a all-time record of 601-659.

THE TODDFATHER
Head coach Greg Todd moved to third in the MSU record book for all-time wins with his 77th victory as the bench boss when his team defeated UT Martin on Jan. 19, 2019. Todd surpassed former coach Laura Litter (1997-2005). Todd is in his fifth season at the helm of the program and is 83-67 overall.
