MOREHEAD, Ky. – After playing nearly a month on the road, Morehead State beach volleyball returns home to host an in-state rival for the first time. The Eagles (6-3) host Eastern Kentucky (0-4) for the first of two meetings this season.

Tuesday's dual match also carries significance as it will be the first NCAA beach volleyball match in history to feature two teams from the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The dual match will feature a pair of matches with first serve set for 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

"The team and our staff are excited for our first home match of the season against a strong opponent in Eastern Kentucky," said head coach Jaime Gordon. The matches will provide a good test for our team and will allow us to continue to improve throughout the season."

Morehead State returns to the sand at Fazoli's Breadstick Beach following a weekend competing at the UNCW Dig & Dive Invitational. On the weekend, the Eagles split their four matches, defeating Tusculum and Carson-Newman.

The Eagles matches with Eastern Kentucky will also coincide with Morehead State's NCAA Instagram takeover. Beach volleyball will take over the official NCAA Volleyball Instagram account (@NCAAVolleyball), posting updates throughout the day of a day in the life of a Morehead State student-athlete.
