MOREHEAD, Ky. – After downing an in-state and traditional Ohio Valley Conference rival in a dual match on Tuesday, Morehead State beach volleyball is set to face another traditional OVC rival on Saturday. The Eagles (8-3, 0-0 ASUN) play host to Austin Peay (5-9, 1-1) in the second of three home dual matches at Fazoli's Breadstick Beach.

The dual match is also significant as it marks the first matches of Atlantic Sun competition for Morehead State since joining the league as an associate member prior to the 2019 season. The matches kick off an eight-game ASUN slate for the Eagles.

The matches also mark the third consecutive season Morehead State and Austin Peay have met in the sand, meeting once in 2017 before facing off three times last season. Overall, the Governors own a 4-0 advantage in the sand.

The Eagles continue to defend their home court Saturday after sweeping Eastern Kentucky Tuesday. The dual match turned into a clean sweep for the Eagles as they took all 24 games played across the six flights in each match as part of a pair of 5-0 victories.
