ALL-OVC TEAMS
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State's
Jordan Walker and
Lamontray Harris have been named to the 2018-19 All-Ohio Valley Conference squads.
Walker, from Indianapolis, Ind. and a junior, was named First-Team All-OVC. He is the 13th player in program history to earn first-team accolades. Harris, a senior from Louisville, Ky., was named second-team.
Walker, who was only held under double figures in points six times in 31 games, also scored 20 or more 11 times. That's the most since current Houston Rocket star Kenneth Faried had 15 in 2010-11.
He averaged 15.6 points and shot 41 percent from the field while hitting 40 percent from three-point range. Walker scored a career-high 30 points in the Eagles' win at Eastern Illinois and impressed with 24 at No. 14 Syracuse.
Walker is the 34th member of the MSU 1,000 point club, joining Harris who had reached the milestone also this season.
Harris averaged 13.6 points and 8.2 rebounds and posted 10 double-doubles, which ranked third in the OVC. He had 18 career double-doubles. He managed to hit 52 percent of his field goals and nailed 78 percent at the free throw line.
Harris also posted three 20-point games this season.
The fifth-seeded Eagles open the OVC Tournament on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. ET with No. 8 SIUE as their foe.
