HOME RUN DERBY INFO
MOREHEAD, Ky. – The Morehead State Softball team is set to host five home games at University Field during their fall 2019 schedule.
"We're really excited to get on the field and compete against other teams," said Eagles' second-year head coach
Samantha Jones. "This is a great time for us to see where our girls are at in their development and judge what we need to focus on when we move to spring and start getting ready for a new season."
The Eagles begin play on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. ET with a 10-inning contest against Georgetown (Ky.).
The following weekend on Sept. 29, MSU welcomes Indiana Southeast for a 1:00 p.m. ET first pitch before taking on Pikeville (Ky.) at 4:00 p.m.
On Oct. 6, Morehead State plays host to Kentucky Christian at 12:30 p.m. before taking on West Virginia Tech at 3:00 p.m.
Admission for games during the fall is free. Live statistics and streaming of games will not be available for fall games.
After the matchup against Georgetown (Ky.) on Saturday, Morehead State will host a home run derby that will be open to the general public. Fans can enter the derby for $5 which will give them 10 balls. The top-ten individuals will move to a championship round and have the opportunity for prizes.
"This is a great opportunity for us to invite our awesome campus community and Morehead out to have some fun with our team," said Jones. "We look forward to seeing a great turnout of Eagles fans, young and old, that want to take their best swings for the fences."
