MOREHEAD, Ky. -- A trio of Morehead State rifle student-athletes recently competed at the Winter Air Gun Championships, put on by the Civilian Marksmanship Program.
The competitions were held in three locations this year, with junior
Amber Schifano and freshman
Sally Reeke shooting at Port Clinton, Ohio. Incoming freshman Danielle Vigil shot her event at Anniston, Ala.
Schifano finished in 23rd place overall and 13th among the juniors (age 21 and below). Schifano had a significantly successful finish seeing as though 10 placers ahead of her who aren't juniors are on the US National Team.
Vigil finished in 74th place, and Reeke was in 79th.
The Morehead State rifle team is on winter break with NCAA competition commencing again Jan. 23 at VMI.
