NOTABLE
• Since 2007-08, Morehead State is 16-3 against Southeast Missouri. In a quirk of scheduling, Morehead State hasn't played at SEMO since Jan. 11, 2018. The Eagles have won three of the last four meetings played at the Show Me Center.
• Freshman forward Johni Broome, the first three-time OVC Freshman of the Week for the Eagles since 2000-01, averaged 17.0 points and 10.5 rebounds in the last two games. In those two he shot 73 percent (16-of-22) from the field. Overall Broome ranks fourth in the league in FG percentage at .606.
• In OVC games only, Morehead State ranks first in the conference in scoring defense (61.1), rebound margin (+7.4) and blocked shots (36).
• During Morehead State's four-game winning streak, opponents have never shot better than 37 percent, and the Eagles allowed just 56.5 points per game to that quartet of foes.
• Senior forward James Baker ranks fourth in Morehead State history in blocked shots. He has 114 career rejections, needing just two more to move into the top three past George Williams (1973-74).
• Johni Broome is the top freshman rebounder in the conference (7.2/game). In fact, he is the only freshman ranked in the top 20 in rebounds per game.
• Morehead State's four-game winning streak is the second four-game OVC games only success streak in head coach Preston Spradlin's tenure. It's the third time since 2016-17 MSU has won four straight. The Eagles started the 2019-20 season with four consecutive wins.
• Morehead State is 20-0 in the last two seasons when the team holds the lead with one minute left in regulation.
• Sophomore guard Ta'lon Cooper (48) and junior guard KJ Hunt, Jr. (41) have combined for 89 of the Eagles' 166 assists or 54 percent.
• The Eagles have just 22 turnovers in the last two games (11 both games). That's after averaging nearly 20 per game in the first 10 games.
