MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State's men's basketball [program keeps finding ways to win. The Eagles take their eight-game success streak to Cookeville, Tenn., Saturday to face Tennessee Tech. The game is slated to air live on ESPN+. Chuck Mraz and Dean Hardin will bring fans the radio call on MSUEagles.com and WIVY-96.3 FM.

NOTABLE
• Morehead State's current eight-game success streak is the longest winning streak since nine straight in 2010-11, and the Eagles' eight-game OVC winning streak is the program's best since winning nine straight in 2009-10. The eight-game win streak is tied for the sixth longest in Division I currently.

• In the last 30 games against Tennessee Tech, Morehead State is 23-7. That dates back to the 2007-08 season. TTU has won three of the last four meetings in Cookeville, however.

• In the past five games, Morehead State has defeated all five of those foes by an average of +20.4. In that span as well, MSU shot 50 percent as a team and owns a +6.2 rebounding margn and a +2.4 turnover margin.

• Morehead State's 9-2 start after 11 OVC games equals the 2009-10 team for best 11-game record. It's also the first time the 2013-14 MSU owns four consecutive road OVC victories. A win against Tech would be the best OVC road winning streak since a five-game span in 2010-11.

• The Eagles received votes in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll this week, the first time since 2010-11 the Eagles have received votes or been in the Mid-Major top 25 rankings.

• Freshman forward Johni Broome has four double-doubles in his first season to rank second in the OVC. The 6-10 Plant City, Fla., product is the first Eagle since Ricky Minard in 2000-01 to earn four OVC Freshman of the Week honors. Broome leads all OVC freshmen in FG pct. (.586) and rebounding (7.2).

•  Leading scorer DeVon Cooper (11.5) scored a career-high 20 points at Jacksonville State. In the past four games, Cooper has been extremely consistent, hitting five field goals in all four of those contests. He also shot 55 percent in the past four outings.

• In OVC play, MSU has only allowed one team (first game at EKU) to score more than 70 points and the Eagles own a +10.6 scoring margin.

• Senior forward James Baker is now tied for third place in MSU program history with 115 career blocked shots.

• During Morehead State's eight-game winning streak, the Eagles have held a lead for 266 (33.2 average) of the possible 320 minutes of action. With the exception of the Tennessee Tech game (a lead for 20:21), MSU has held the cushion for more than 30 minutes of those other six wins. MSU led the entire game at JSU Thursday.

• MSU is 24-0 in the past two seasons when leading with one minute left in regulation. The Eagles are also 17-1 in the past two years when holding a halftime lead.
