MOREHEAD, Ky. – This is a new series leading up to the beginning of the coming sports seasons that allows our fans to get to know our student-athletes. A different player will be featured in a story on their responses to a questionnaire given to all of our teams.
 
This edition is on women's basketball sophomore Ariel Kirkwood.
 
Why did you choose to come to Morehead State?
Kirkwood: I loved the coaching staff and the energy of the team. I also liked the style of play.
 
What is your favorite memory playing your sport?
Kirkwood: My favorite memory is when my high school team beat our rival school.
 
What is your favorite song and which artist sings it?
Kirkwood: My favorite song is Psalm 51 by Toosii
 
What is your favorite movie and/or TV show and why did you choose that movie?
Kirkwood: Scooby-Doo (Spooky Island). I loved Scooby as a kid and the movie is funny.
 
What is your favorite restaurant to eat at and what is your go-to meal there?
Kirkwood: My favorite restaurant is Wendy's, the 4 for 4.
 
If you could have one superpower, what would that be and why?
Kirkwood: I would want to be invisible, I can be alone whenever I want.
