RESULTS
MOREHEAD, Ky. – On the course for the final time during the fall portion of its 2021-22 slate, Morehead State women's golf wrapped up play at the first ever Olde Stone Intercollegiate Tuesday. The Eagles concluded the event with a twelfth place finish.
The field was loaded with three top-fifty schools in what was the toughest competition the Eagles have faced yet. As a team, Morehead State fashioned scores of 307-320-306—933. In addition to powerhouse competitors such as Louisville and Oklahoma, the Eagles matched up against local rival Marshall, who they finished 15 strokes ahead of.
Sophomore
MacKenzie Neal led the Eagles at the event, tying for 31st. She carded scores of 75-79-77—231. Close behind her were
Olivia Hensley and
Hailey Rietz, who both tied for 43rd. Hensley shot a 75-88-72—235, including a team best even par for her final round, while Rietz carded a 79-78-78—235, and posted the fourth most pars of anyone in the competition.
Senior
Bridget Connolly finished tied for 52nd with steady results of 78-80-79—237. Rounding out the scoring for the Eagles was freshman
Hanna Montgomery, who improved every round, posting an 85-83-81—249.
The Eagles will now be off for the winter before returning to action Feb.7-8 in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
