MOREHEAD, Ky. –
After claiming their first victory of the season, Morehead State prepares for a four-game road trip that begins in Moon Township, Penn., as they take on Robert Morris Wednesday.

The Eagles picked up their first win in head coach Cayla Petree's Division I career on the strength of four scorers in double figures. Junior Lauren Carter led the way with her second double-double of the season, posting 20 points, 17 rebounds, six assists, six steals, and three blocks.

Joining her was Julan McDonald, who recorded a double-double of her own with 10 points and 10 assists, Terri Smith with 15 points and Jada Claude with 11 points.

Robert Morris, meanwhile, has opened their second season as members of the Horizon league at 1-3, and is coming off two early road conference games which they split.

Tip-off is slated for 1:00 p.m. ET and can be found on ESPN+ or listened to on the Eagle Sports Radio Network.

NOTABLE
•Morehead State is about to embark on a four-game road trip with games in four different states. This is the most travel in a single trip for the women's program since 2017-18, when they played a seven game road trip in five states. The Eagles were 5-2 on that road trip.

Lauren Carter has two double-doubles in as many games this season, and her average of 20.5 points per game is the most in the OVC. She is the first Morehead State player with back to back 20+ point performances since Aliyah Jeune in 2019, who scored 20+ points 14 times that season.

Julan McDonald posted her first Division I double-double against Midway (Ky.) with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Julan had previously recorded five double-doubles during her time with Odessa College.

•Morehead State is 3rd in the OVC in defensive rebounds, averaging 26.3 defensive boards per game. A huge contributor to this effort has been sophomore Jada Claude, who pulled down a career-high 11 defensive rebounds against Marshall.

•The last time the Eagles traveled to Moon Township, Penn., was back in December 2009, when Morehead State's all-time leading point scorer Chynna Bozeman led the team with 21 points to a narrow 58-58 victory over the Colonials.
