NEW YORK YANKEES RELEASE
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Former Morehead State assistant baseball coach Dillon Lawson has been promoted within the New York Yankees' organization to the club's full time hitting coach.
Lawson, who has been a hitting instructor for NY since 2018, was a member of the MSU coaching staff during the 2010, 2011 and 2012 seasons. He later was an assistant coach at Southeast Missouri and Missouri before joining the ranks of pro ball instruction within the Houston Astros' organization.
While at Morehead State Lawson served as the program's pitching coach. He graduated from Transylvania (Ky.) and was an all-conference player for the Pioneers.
