Rifle Shoots Season High at the NCAA Qualifier

MOREHEAD, Ky. --
 Morehead State rifle saved its best for (maybe) last. The Eagles shot a season-best 4,659 aggregate total at the NCAA Qualifier match at Kentucky on Saturday.

Among the counters in Air Rifle for the Eagles, sophomore Grace Weber led the way with a 589. Junior Katie Frye totaled a 587, while fellow junior Amber Schifano scored a 585. In his final collegiate match, senior Ryan Hinson fired a 581. Junior Erin Diehl notched a 580.

On the Smallbore circuit, sophomore Bryce Ward set a personal-best with a 583. That included tying his best-ever kneeling (195) and prone (199) totals. He also had his best-ever combined score at 1168. Diehl turned in a 581, while Hinson shot 578. Frye's score was 575, and Weber had a 570, including a personal-best 198 prone.

Among other notable efforts today, freshman Sally Reeke shot her best-ever total score (1160), Smallbore (572) and Air Rifle (588).
