By Ryan Frye, Morehead State Athletic Media Relations
MOREHEAD, Ky. – After competing in match play at the Battle at Boone—an event that brought home a second-consecutive tournament victory—Morehead State men's golf returns to stroke play seeking a second-straight stroke play and third-straight overall tournament victory, competing at the National Intercollegiate.
Morehead State enters the event following victories at the Battle at Boone and the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate. The team's Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate victory two weeks ago marked the team's previous stroke play event this season while marking the team's third stroke-play victory under head coach
Matthew Martin.
Leading all Eagle golfers at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate was senior
Joe Muschong who claimed a third-place finish. All five golfers in the Eagle lineup finished top-25 at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate, the first time the entire Eagle lineup claimed top-25 placements since 2018.
The two-day National Intercollegiate tees off from Reynolds Lake Oconee's National Course in Greensboro, Ga. The event features 36 holes Monday before concluding with 18 holes Tuesday.
