MARTIN, Tenn. – With the season winding down as the 2021 Ohio Valley Conference Beach Volleyball Championship enters its final days, Morehead State beach volleyball continued making history in the historic 2021 season.
Morehead State opened day two the OVC Beach Volleyball Championship by capturing the program's first postseason victory, completing the first five-flight sweep at the OVC Beach Volleyball Championship. The Eagles swept in-state rival and No. 6 seed Eastern Kentucky, winning at all five flights, capturing the first sweep in OVC postseason history—yesterday's matches ended when one team reached three victories, resulting in two 3-0 victories.
The victory moved Morehead State to a second lower-bracket matchup, competing against No. 5 seed Jacksonville State in day two's final match. Unfortunately, the Eagles season ended, dropping a narrow result 3-2 to the Gamecocks, picking up flight victories from the No. 2 and No. 5 flights.
