Since Belmont transitioned to Division I in 1998, the two programs have met 54 times, including each season from 1998 to 2005 and each season since 2013. Overall, the Bruins lead the series over the Eagles 39-15.
- In a streak encompassing his last three starts, redshirt senior right-hander Jason Goe hasn't permitted a walk. Over those same three starts, he's struck out 24 batters and owns a streak of 25 consecutive strikeouts since his last walk, a streak that dates back to his start versus Eastern Illinois on April 16.
- Hitting two home runs in the series at Tennessee Tech, freshman first baseman Jackson Feltner became the fifth freshman in program history to hit double-digit home runs in a season. He is the first since Taylor Davis in 2009 to reach double-figure homers and is currently tied for the fourth-most freshman homers in a single season in program history.
- Picking up a hit in each game at Tennessee Tech, Feltner also extended his Ohio Valley Conference-leading reached base and hitting streaks to 32 and 23 games, respectively. His 32 game reached base streak is the longest for an Eagle since Jake Hammon authored a 36-game streak in 2018-19 and the longest hitting streak since Reid Leonard closed the 2019 season with a 22-game streak.
- Feltner's .394 batting average (56-for-142) in 2021 ranks third in the OVC entering the weekend's games, ranking 24th in the country. Amongst NCAA freshman, his average ranks fourth while amongst true freshman his average ranks second behind only Richmond's Jared Sprague-Lott (.432; 32-for-74).
