Men's Golf Finishes In the Middle of the Pack at Joe Feaganes
RESULTS

MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State fifth-year golfer Joe Muschong led the entire 96-player field in par five scoring and even had an eagle amongst his 54 holes, but overall Morehead State finished in the middle of the pack this week at Joe Feaganes Invitational. The Eagles wound up ninth among the 15 schools competing.

MSU carded team rounds of 287-291-300 -- 878 to finish +16 at the par 71, 6,523-yard Guyan Country Club.

Muschong led the way for the Eagles, finishing in 10th place while fashioning a three-day scorecard of 71-69-73 -- 213. Sophomore Cameron Travis, in his first appearance in the Eagles' five-man lineup, was next at 72-72-76 -- 220.

Sophomore Blake Evans carded a 71-77-76 -- 224, while fifth-year man Ryan Gillum scored 73-74-78 -- 225. Fifth-year athlete Zac Viminitz rounded out the five with a 75-76-75 -- 226. 

Freshman Andrew Marrs played in his first-ever collegiate event and notched scores of 77-78-77 -- 232.

Host Marshall won the event by eight strokes over second-place Wright State.

The Eagles return to the course and head north Friday and Saturday at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational at Ball State in Indiana.
