MOREHEAD, Ky. --
Morehead State's men's golf team found the going a bit rough in North Carolina this week, as the Eagles completed play at the JT Poston Invitational in 13th place.

Playing at the 7,007-yard, par 71 Country Club of Sapphire Valley, MSU turned in team rounds of 288-289-305 to finish 30-over par.

Fifth-year Joe Muschong led the Eagles in scoring for the third consecutive event, carding a 71-69-75 -- 215. Sophomore Cameron Travis had a promising start but slipped in the third round to finish at 69-72-79 -- 220.

Junior Mason McGhee was in the lineup for the first time since 2019 and fashioned an 82-76-82 -- 240.

Morehead State will take an extended break before concluding the fall season Oct. 18-19 at the Xavier Invitational in Cincinnati.
