MOREHEAD, Ky. – After a lengthy hiatus, Morehead State women's basketball returns to the court Thursday against the defending OVC champions, Belmont.
The Eagles last played on January 8th, when they fell at Austin Peay, 66-49. Jada Claude posted her third double-double of the season with 15 points and 11 rebounds alongside a season-high 14 points from Alana Denson.
Belmont continued their undefeated start to OVC play with a victory over Murray State. Madison Bartley scored a career-high 29 points and was awarded OVC Player of the Week for her efforts. The Bruins also feature OVC Preseason Player of the Year, Destinee Wells, who averages 16.4 points per game.

• In league play, Tyler Moore is tied for 3rd in the OVC in three-pointers made per game (2.0). Terri Smith sits right behind her with 1.8 three-pointers per game.
• Morehead State has struggled historically with teams from Tennessee, posting a program record of 162-236 against teams from the Volunteer State.
• Morehead State only has one victory over Belmont since the Bruins joined the OVC. That victory was on February 4, 2015, when a 20 point performance from Almesha Jones led the Eagles to a 66-55 win.
• Terri Smith has been Morehead State's leading scorer in five of their last eight games. She is also leading the conference and is 12th in the country in minutes played per game (36.9).
• Jada Claude posted her third double-double of the season last contest against Austin Peay, which gives her the second most individual double-doubles in the OVC this season.
• Jada Claude is averaging 6.8 rebounds per game, which is the most among newcomers in the OVC.
