• Morehead State may trail 16-4 in its all-time series with Belmont since 2013, but the Eagles own wins in the last two games, including an 86-71 win in the OVC Tournament championship game last March. MSU also won an overtime thriller over Belmont at home in February 2021.
• The Eagles currently own the OVC's longest winning streak at six games. After a 2-3 start, Morehead State has won 10 of its last 12 games.
• Morehead State's 4-0 start to conference play this season is the best OVC start since the 2009-10 team began the league action 9-0.
• Morehead State has won 15 consecutive home games. In fact the Eagles did not lose a single home game in the 2021 calendar year. The program record for consecutive home wins is 23, set during the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons.
• During MSU's five-game winning streak, the Eagles have not allowed an opponent to score more than 65 points. MSU leads the conference at just 63.1 points allowed per game and only 57.8 in league games.

Johni Broome has been named to the Lou Henson Award Mid-Season Watch List, a list he was on as well in 2020-21. The award honors the nation's best mid-major player.

Johni Broome posted double-double No. 10 on the season with 20 points and 15 rebounds against UT Martin. He ranks among the nation's top five in double-doubles and now has 23 of the variety in 47 career games, garnering a double-double in nearly 50 percent of his career outings. Broome also now has 14 career 20+ point efforts.
• Sophomore point guard Ta'Lon Cooper leads the OVC and ranks 12th nationally with 6.3 assists per game. He also ranks eighth in the nation in total assists with 107. Cooper now has 312 career assists, which ranks tied for eighth in program history.

Tray Hollowell has hit at least one three-pointer in all 17 games in 2021-22 and owns a string of 24 consecutive games with at least one three-ball made since last season at Wofford.

Tray Hollowell enters the game with 996 career collegiate points, including 799 in four seasons at Wofford. Currently there are 34 former MSU players who have registered their 1,000th career point while suiting up as an Eagle.

Jaylon Hall went 5-for-5 from three-point range in the last two games. He scored a team-high 14 points at Tennessee State.
• With 112 career blocked shots,
Johni Broome is already up to fifth place in career rejections in program history. He needs just four more to move into fourth. Broome has blocked six shots in a game five times already this season and ranks ninth in Division I in blocks per game at 3.2.
