MOREHEAD, Ky. – For the second time in her career, Morehead State women's basketball's Jada Claude has been tabbed OVC Newcomer of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

Claude led the team in scoring both games this week, including putting up a career-high 22 points alongside seven rebounds and two assists against conference leading Belmont.

She also posted her fourth double-double on the season against SIUE, with 18 points and 12 rebounds, which gives her the second most individual double-doubles in the OVC this season. Claude was also an iron woman for the Eagles this week, playing in 71 of a possible 80 minutes.

Since joining Morehead State after transferring from Duke, Claude has been a force in the OVC, leading the Eagles in both scoring and rebounding this season, as well as ranking third overall in the conference in rebounds per game (7.1) and first among newcomers.

The Eagles and Claude return to action on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. ET against Southeast Missouri at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
