MOREHEAD, Ky. – About to embark on a three game road trip, women's hoops first heads to SEMO Thursday.

The Eagles competed in a defensive struggle against UT Martin Monday night, but ultimately fell to the Skyhawks, 64-50. Reigning OVC Newcomer of the Week, Jada Claude, continued her string of dominant performances, notching her 5th double-double on the season, tying her for the most in the OVC, finishing the night with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore Alana Denson also matched a season high 14 points of her own.

SEMO fell to 0-8 in conference play at Eastern Illinois Saturday, but despite this, freshman Kennedi Watkins and senior Deanay Watson each chalked up double-double outings. Watkins registered her first career double-double, finishing with 13 points with a personal high 11 rebounds and five steals. Watson, who came off the bench, added 10 points and 10 boards, for her third career double-double.

• Jada Claude was awarded OVC Newcomer of the Week for the second time this season. She's averaging 7.3 rebounds per game, which is the most among newcomers in the OVC and third overall in the conference.

• Jada Claude posted her fifth double-double of the season last game against UT Martin, which gives her the second most individual double-doubles in the OVC this season.

• Jada Claude is second in the conference in blocked shots per game (1.1) during OVC play.

• Thursday will mark Terri Smith's first outing against her former team. Smith was a member of SEMO for one season, where she had eight double digit scoring efforts.

• In conference play, the Eagles are averaging 2.9 blocks per game, which is good for fourth most in the OVC.

• Morehead State's last victory against SEMO in Cape Girardeau came in dramatic fashion as Eriel McKee hit a buzzer beating three to lift the Eagles to 59-56 victory.
