MOREHEAD, Ky. –
Continuing their three game road trip, women's basketball heads to Murray State Saturday before their makeup match with Tennessee State Monday.

The Eagles fell in a tightly contested battle at SEMO Thursday, 60-53. Graduate student Julan McDonald had one of her best games of the season, posting a season-high 15 points to go with nine rebounds and three blocks, alongside sophomore Jada Claude, who continued her sizzling pace through the OVC with her third double-double in a row, and sixth on the season, with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore Alana Denson rounded out the Eagles with 11 points on the night.

The Tennessee State Lady Tigers fell to 5-3 in conference play after a second-half stumble at SIUE Thursday. Tatyana Davis set a career-high 29 points, and pulled down three rebounds and had two assists. Graduate student Dominique Claytor had 13 points and eight rebounds, and freshman Gia Adams rounded out the Lady Tigers with a near double-double with seven points and six assists.

Murray State moved to 6-3 in conference play after a last-second layup propelled the Racers past SIUE. Sophomore Katelyn Young led four Racers in double-figures in the game with her sixth double-double of the season with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Both games can be watched on ESPN+ and Saturday's game can be listened to on the Eagle Sports Radio Network, with tip-offs slated for 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. ET.

NOTABLE
Jada Claude was awarded OVC Newcomer of the Week for the second time this season. She's averaging 7.5 rebounds per game, which is the most among newcomers in the OVC and third overall in the conference, and her 7.9 rebounds per game in conference-only play is top in the OVC.

Jada Claude recorded her third consecutive double-double Thursday night against SEMO. She is now tied with Katelyn Young for the most double-doubles in the OVC this season (6) and is the first Morehead State player to record three consecutive double-doubles since Tierra McGowan notched four in a row in 2017.

Alana Denson is now 8-14 from three-point range in conference play, which puts her second in the OVC in three-point field goal percentage (.571).

• Morehead State is averaging the third most blocks per conference game, recording 3.1 swats per game, due to Jada Claude and Julan McDonald, who are both tied for 3rd in the conference with 1.0 blocks per game.

The Eagles have had a knack for connecting on late shots in conference play, as they have now hit six buzzer beaters to end quarters in OVC play, including beating the horn at least once in each of their last four games.

• One of the greatest individual performances from a Morehead State player against Murray State was also one of the top performances from Morehead State's all-time leading scorer, Chynna Bozeman, who put up a career-high 39 points in a 95-90 victory over the Racers in 2010.
