RESULTS

MOREHEAD, Ky. --
For the fourth time, the Morehead State Rifle team fired its second-ever highest Air Rifle score, and that propelled the Eagles to a resounding 4,666-4,603 victory over UT Martin at Button Rifle Range Saturday.

The Eagles' Air score of 2,363 is only two shy of the program record.

Seniors Bryce Ward and Grace Weber both turned in 593 totals on the Air range, while freshman Adrianna Beard fashioned a 590. Junior Andrew Morris was close behind at 587, and freshman Hayden Bell helped the cause with a 585. Sophomore Danielle Vigil (587) and junior Sally Reeke (585) also had solid scores.

While not among the counters, freshman Holly Freeman fired her best-ever combined score at 1,173 to lead all shooters on the day, including a personal-best 583 Smallbore.

Among the lineup in Smallbore, junior Cassidy Wilson's team-best 583 was also a personal record - as was her 198 kneeling points. She totaled her best-ever combined score too at 1,164. Senior Elizabeth Plecity carded a 576, and Ward was at 575 on the targets. Junior Andrew Morris (569) and Vigil (561) rounded out that gun's counters. Beard was not in the counters but did rank third on the team with a 577.

The Eagles and Skyhawks are right back at it on Sunday for another shoulder-to-shoulder match beginning at 8 a.m. ET at Button.
