NOTABLE
• The Eagles dramatically improved as their game with USF progressed, with the second half showing a higher shooting percentage, three point percentage, free throw percentage, number of blocks, and steals, while cutting down on their turnovers.
•
Veronica Charles and
Sandra Lin have been consistent presences on the floor for the Eagles thus far, both playing over 30 minutes in the exhibition against UVA-Wise and the season opener against USF. They are also the only Eagles to play more than 25 minutes in either game.
• The 23 points scored by the Eagles in the fourth quarter against USF was the highest scoring segment against a Group of 5 school since NCAA Basketball adopted quarters in 2015.
• The Eagles are testing themselves early with back-to-back games against Power 5/Group of 5 schools to open their season for the first time since 2010, which saw Morehead State take on Kentucky and Notre Dame to start the year, before finishing the season 21-10.
• Kentucky is the only SEC school Morehead State has defeated in program history, with five victories over the Wildcats.
