NOTABLE
• ETSU and Morehead State will break a deadlock in their all-time series Sunday, with the series tied 28-28. The Eagles will look to halt a four-game winning streak in the series for the Bucs. ETSU has won the last two times the teams have played in Morehead, but the Eagles own a 17-10 advantage in games played on their home court.

• Morehead State has cracked the century mark on the scoreboard twice this season. It marks the first time since the 2018-19 season the Eagles have put together 2+ 100 point outputs.

Alex Gross leads all OVC players in offensive rebounds per game, grabbing 3.2 of his team-high 7.6 boards per game off the offensive glass.

Alex Gross is one of just six current players on Division I teams to score 2,000+ career points in college. He is the ONLY player in Division I to record 2,000+ points AND 1,200+ career rebounds in college. His career college totals stand at 2,136 points and 1,294 career rebounds.

Alex Gross now has 43 double-doubles in his last three college seasons, including three this season. Gross had MSU career highs of 23 points and 13 rebounds against KCU while hitting 11-of-12 from the field.

•  Morehead State has the rare opportunity to potentially have four 1,000+ point college scorers on the same team this year. Alex Gross (2,136) and Branden Maughmer (1,797) already have surpassed 1,000. Mark Freeman has 918 and Jalen Hawkins is at 837.

Mark Freeman scored a season-high 18 points against North Alabama. In his seven games in an Eagle uniform, he has only not scored 10+ one time. In the past three games, Freeman averaged 15.6 points per game.

Mark Freeman and Branden Maughmer both boast career free throw accuracies of 81 percent. Both players led their respective leagues (Freeman - OVC at Tennessee State; Maughmer - DII Great Midwest at Cedarville [Ohio]) at one time in free throw percentage.

Jalen Hawkins has averaged 10 points per game in his first four games as an Eagle. The Norfolk State transfer scored 18 in his MSU debut versus Kentucky State.

• Morehead State ranks 16th in the nation and first in the OVC in fast-break points per game (17.3).

• Morehead State ranks first in the OVC in rebounding margin at +4.8.

• The Eagles lead the OVC and rank 36th nationally in three-point percentage defense, allowing opponents to only hit 28 percent from distance.

• When North Alabama did not hit a three-pointer against MSU last weekend, it marked the first time since 2012 a team failed to make a 3 against MSU (EIU was 0-for-17 in 2012).
