2022 Baseball Schedule Features 29 Home Games
SCHEDULE 

MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The 2021 Morehead State Baseball season kicks off in Kennesaw, Ga., on Feb. 18-20. This will be a busy and exciting season for the Eagles, with 29 of the 59 scheduled games being home contests.

This will be the second full season for Head Coach Mik Aoki, who will be looking to continue to build on the successes of the 2021 season. The 2021 season saw the team finish with a winning record (24-23) and a significant home record of 12-4. The Eagles also were one of the four teams to compete at the OVC Tournament, with first baseman and freshman Jackson Feltner claiming OVC Freshman of the Year.

The Eagles will face strong competition with games against Louisville, Kentucky, Marshall and Kansas State and will be looking to repeat their win against Louisville when the 'Cards were ranked No. 1 last season.

The first home game will be on Friday, Feb. 25, where the Eagles will face Canisius for a total of four games. Other home battles will be played against Eastern Michigan (March 4-6), James Madison (March 11-13), Eastern Kentucky (March 23), Murray State (March 25-27), Presbyterian (April 9-10), Northern Kentucky (April 12), Belmont (April 14-16), Ohio (April 19), UT Martin (April 29-May 1), Marshall (May 10) and SIUE (May 13-15).

The Eagles will face road conference tilts against Tennessee Tech (April 1-3), Southeast Missouri (April 22-24), Eastern Illinois (May 6-8) and Austin Peay (May 19-21). Non OVC travel contests will be against Kennesaw State (Feb. 18-20), Louisville (March 1), Bellarmine (March 8), Western Illinois (March 15), Kansas State (March 17-19), Kentucky (March 22), Northern Kentucky (March 29), Ohio (April 5), Eastern Kentucky (April 26) and Marshall (May 17).

The 2022 OVC Baseball Championship will be held May 25-28 at the Lexington Legends Ballpark in Lexington.
