NOTABLE
• Morehead State has won the last two meetings with Austin Peay to break a stalemate in the series record, which had stood at 56-all. The Eagles have had resounding success against the Govs at home with a 37-16 all-time mark, including winning six of the last seven in Johnson Arena since 2009.

• Morehead State's current 19-game home winning streak is the second longest in program history, trailing only te 23 straight from 2009-10 through 2010-11. MSU currently owns the third longest home winning streak in Division I behind Houston (37) and Gonzaga (64).

• Morehead State's 41 wins in the last two seasons is the most for any Division I program from Kentucky.

Johni Broome has a double-double in six of the last seven games and 16 overall in 2021-22. He ranks third nationally in double-doubles, and the Eagles are 24-5 when Broome records a double-double last two seasons. Broome's 25 points against Tech Thursday marked his season-high, scoring 19 points alone in the second half.

Johni Broome is now ranked third in single-season MSU history in blocked shots with 89. Only two other Eagles in history have blocked 100+ shots in a season - George Williams with 115 in 1973-74 and Ron Nicholson with 104 in 1971-72.

• According to the record book and historical stats that are available, Johni Broome is the ONLY MSU men's player in the modern era (post 1972 when freshmen were allowed to play on varsity teams) to block 5 or more shots in four consecutive games. He has 5+ blocks in 12 games this year and has blocked 2+ in 12 straight games now.

• As a team, Morehead State ranks first in the OVC in three-point shooting accuracy, hitting 37 percent. The Eagles rank 44th nationally in that category.

• Ta'Lon Cooper ranks third in the nation in total assists with 153, a figure that now ranks as the ninth best single-season total in program history. Cooper has recorded 91 assists in the Eagles' 11 home games, averaging 8.2 helpers at Johnson Arena this season.

Tray Hollowell's three-point string reached 30 games in a row with one triple Thursday vs. Tech. He has drained at least one three-pointer in all 24 games this season. Hollowell is attempting to become the first MSU player in program history to hit at least one three-pointer in every game he appears in during a single season.

Skyelar Potter has scored in double figures in seven straight games after only getting 10+ in two of the previous 10. He has shot 40 percent from three-point range in the last seven games as well.

• Assistant coach Scott Combs' alma mater is Austin Peay, where he also spent 10+ seasons as an assistant coach and helped APSU win back-to-back OVC titles two different times.

• This year's team is on a similar pace to last season's OVC Tournament championship club, winning at least 74 percent (23-8) of its total games. The Eagles have won 75 percent of their games this season, marking the first time in the 74 years of basketball at Morehead State that back-to-back teams have a chance to win at least 74 percent of their games.
