• Morehead State has won three straight against Belmont, with only two wins in the series prior to last season. The Eagles are, however, still searching for their first triumph in the Curb Event Center, going 0-9.
• Morehead State's current 20-game home winning streak is the second longest in program history, trailing only the 23 straight from 2009-10 through 2010-11. MSU currently owns the third longest home winning streak in Division I behind Houston and Gonzaga.
• In the last three games, MSU has 67 assists, averaging 22.3 per game. In that short span, The Eagles have hit 90 field goals, meaning Eagle players assisted on 75 percent of made shots in those three victories.
• Morehead State's 42 wins in the last two seasons is the most for any Division I program from Kentucky.
•
Johni Broome is up to second nationally in double-doubles. His 17 double-doubles is second only to Utah Valley's Fardaws Aimaq's 19. In the last two seasons, Broome now has 30 double-doubles, with the Eagles going 25-5 when he registers one.
•
Johni Broome is now ranked third in single-season MSU history in blocked shots with 91. Only two other Eagles in history have blocked 100+ shots in a season - George Williams with 115 in 1973-74 and Ron Nicholson with 104 in 1971-72. With nine more swats, he'll become the first OVC player to record 100+ blocks in a season since Austin Peay's Chris Horton in 2012-13. Only three other players in OVC history (TTU's Lorenzo Coleman did it twice) have blocked 100+ in a single season.
•
Johni Broome ranks FIRST in the OVC in rebounds (10.6), blocked shots (3.6) and field goal percentage (.573). Broome went a perfect 9-of-9 from the floor against Austin Peay on Feb. 5.
• Ta'Lon Cooper ranks third in the nation in total assists with 158, a figure that now ranks as the ninth best single-season total in program history. Cooper has recorded 96 assists in the Eagles' 12 home games, averaging 8.2 helpers at Johnson Arena this season.
•
Tray Hollowell's three-point string has climbed to 31 straight games. Hollowell is attempting to become the first MSU player in program history to hit at least one three-pointer in every game he appears in during a single season.
•
Skyelar Potter has scored in double figures in eight straight games after only getting 10+ in two of the previous 10. He has shot 42 percent from three-point range in the last eight games as well.
• Morehead State's 77-52 win over Austin Peay on Feb. 5 was the largest-ever margin of victory in a home contest versus the Govs and came within one point on the largest overall win over Austin Peay in program history.
• One more victory and Morehead State will accomplish a feat not seen on campus since 2009-10 and 2010-11, and that's to win 20+ games in back-to-back seasons. The program saw three straight 20+ win results from 2008-11.
