MOREHEAD, Ky. –
Morehead State women's basketball travels to Nashville Thursday to take on conference-leading Belmont.

The Eagles fell in a heartbreaker to Austin Peay Saturday, 71-61. Despite the loss, it was their finest performance in OVC play this season, featuring a number of career-best showings. Terri Smith led the charge for the Eagles, pouring in 23 points on the strength of a career-high seven three-pointers. Julan McDonald posted a career-high 22 points to go with a career-high six blocks, and three-time OVC Newcomer of the Week Jada Claude rounded out the scoring with 12 points and six rebounds.

Belmont notched their second consecutive comeback victory against UT Martin Monday in a low-scoring affair. The Bruins outscored the Skyhawks in the fourth quarter 19-9, with sophomore guard Tuti Jones leading all scorers with 17 points and grabbed a career-high tying nine rebounds.

Tip-off is slated for 6:00 p.m. ET and can be found on ESPN+ or listened to on the Eagle Sports Radio Network.
