NOTABLE
  • Morehead State's Jackson Feltner hit his third home run of the season at Louisville, a three-run blast that cut the deficit to one in the fifth inning. Feltner currently leads the Eagles in home runs, hits, RBI, slugging percentage, and total bases.
  • Infielder Nick Gooden comes in hitting .400 on the season, currently riding a seven-game hitting streak. Gooden has started the last four games for the Eagles, and turned an impressive, unassisted double play in the loss at Louisville Tuesday, diving to his left to make the catch and tagging the bag in the process.
  • Logan Goodnight broke out of an early season slump Tuesday, notching his first two hits of the season, including an RBI double that gave the Eagles the lead in the sixth inning.
  • Relief pitching was a strong suit for Morehead State in their last outing, as Jarrett Miller, Andrew Crumbley, John Sherman, Grant Herron, and John Bakke all threw scoreless frames for the Eagles.
  • Defense has been a strength for the Eagles early in the season especially in the middle infield. Shortstop Colton Becker and second baseman Ashton Roy both currently boast a fielding percentage above .910.
  • Eastern Michigan's lone win came in a shutout against Winthrop in the opening series of the season. Sunday starter Adam Falinski threw seven strong innings, striking out six and picking up his first collegiate win.
