MOREHEAD, Ky. – After taking two of three from Presbyterian to win their third series in a row, the Morehead State baseball team continues its home stand in a mid-week matchup with Northern Kentucky. The Eagles (14-16, 4-2 OVC) defeated the Norse (11-18, 6-5 Horizon League) 4-2 back on March 29, and will go for a season sweep of NKU Tuesday.
The first pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET Tuesday. Live streaming will be available via ESPN+, with live stats available as well.

NOTABLE
- Morehead State's 18-run outburst in Sunday's series clincher was the highest run total it has posted this season, and the most runs the Eagles have scored in a game since posting 19 runs against Dayton in 2020.
- Trevor Callahan has started every mid-week game for Morehead State this season. His win in the March 29 game vs. Northern Kentucky was his first collegiate victory on the mound.
- Alex Jacobs has stayed hot at the plate to start April after posting a .402 batting average in March. Jacobs currently has a 28 game on-base streak and a 20 game hit streak (the best in the OVC), both season-highs for the Eagles. Jacobs batted .636 with seven RBI in the Presbyterian series, and is batting .500 through five games in April, with at least two hits in every game.
- Reigning OVC Freshman of the Year Jackson Feltner caught fire at the plate vs. Presbyterian, batting .583 in three games. His four-hit game in the first game of Sunday's doubleheader stands as his highest single game total in 2022.
- Ryley Preece currently leads the OVC in walks with 28 and ranks 26th in the nation in drawing free bases. He also leads Morehead State in home runs with nine round-trippers on the season. The Eagles' leadoff hitter and center-fielder has been an all-around star on the diamond in 2022, with a .987 fielding percentage and seven stolen bases as well.
- John Bakke fanned eight Blue Hose batters in 3.2 innings of work in game one of Sunday's doubleheader, his highest strikeout total in 2022. Bakke picked up the win in the extra-inning affair. He also leads the eagles with six saves and has 13 closeouts since 2021.
- Colton Becker is currently riding a season-high six-game hit streak. The shortstop has driven in a run in all six games during the streak, with 10 total RBI in that period.
- Northern Kentucky swept Horizon League rival Youngstown State in a three-game set on the road this past weekend. The Norse plated 33 runs in the series.
