Jordan Lathon Transfers from Milwaukee to Add Versatility and Talent to Men's Basketball Program

MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State men's basketball has added a graduate transfer in Milwaukee transfer Jordan Lathon.
Lathon is a 6-4 guard who hails from Grandview, Mo., He played two seasons at UTEP before transferring to Milwaukee, where he sat out the 2020-21 season. He has his one grad transfer season left of eligibility.
"Jordan is physical guard with great size who can impact the game on both ends of the floor," sad head coach
Preston Spradlin. "He will be able to play multiple positions for us to allow him to showcase his scoring and passing ability. His work ethic and drive to get better will be a natural fit with our team."
A four-star recruit out of Grandview (Mo.) High School, Lathon averaged 7.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game with 26 starts at Milwaukee in 2021-22. He also led the Panthers with 81 assists and 33 steals.
Prior to his time in Milwaukee, Lathon scored 445 points and corralled 275 rebounds in 57 games at UTEP. He was twice named Conference USA Freshman of the Week.
Lathon was a top-150 player in the country by 247sports.com out of high school (which had him ranked fifth in the state of Missouri). He was also ranked as the No. 27 guard nationally by Rivals. Lathon led GHS to a Missouri state title as a senior, helping the Bulldogs go 28-3 overall. He was named to the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association (MBCA) All-State Team after averaging 13.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game.
