Following their first series sweep of the season, the Morehead State baseball team will look to keep their winning-streak going as they play host to archrival eastern Kentucky Tuesday. As it stands, Tuesday's matchup is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. ET, but could be moved up with inclement weather in the area. The matchup will be broadcasted on ESPN+, with live stats available as well.

NOTABLE

• Alex Jacobs has been nearly impossible to keep off the base paths in 2022, reaching base in all but one of Morehead State's 42 games this season. His on-base streak currently sits at 40 games, just 10 shy of the school record 50 set by Reid Leonard in 2018. Jacobs is third in the OVC in triples with three three-baggers in 2022.
• Jackson Feltner has more than lived up to the hype in 2022. The preseason All-American and reigning OVC Freshman of the Year ranks top five in batting average (4^th, .399), slugging percentage (5^th, .702), OPS (4^th, 1.168), doubles (T-2^nd, 16) and hits (T-1^st, 67). He sits at seventh in the conference in home runs (11), and leads the team in that category.
• As a team, Morehead State leads the OVC in sacrifices on the season with 29. Colton Becker leads the OVC in sacrifice bunts with eight.
• Ryley Preece still leads the OVC in walks with 36. Preece also sits in the top five in runs scored in 2022, crossing the plate 43 times.
• Tuesday's starter Matt Bettio put together a great start in the season's opening series at Kennesaw State. Bettio went 4.2 innings, striking out five while only giving up two runs in the Eagles' first win of the season.
• John Bakke, the Eagles' closer, leads the OVC in ERA (2.30) and opposing batting average (.199), and ranks third in saves with seven. Bakke threw a complete game three-hitter in game two of Friday's doubleheader vs. UT Martin to help the Eagles clinch the series sweep.
• Eastern Kentucky took two of three from Bellarmine over the weekend, but dropped the opener in 13 innings to the Knights.
