NOTABLE
Preston Spradlin ranks first among the 10 current OVC head coaches in wins at their current school (102), winning percentage at their current school (.516), conference wins at the school (62) and conference winning percentage (.550).

Mark Freeman missed the past two games with injury, but he still ranks first in the OVC in scoring average (24.0) against league teams. He is expected back in the lineup against SEMO.

Alex Gross tied his MSU career-high with 23 points at Tech. He is one of just 15 current players on Division I teams to score 2,000+ career points in college. He is the ONLY current player in Division I to record 2,000+ points AND 1,300+ career rebounds in college (Gross' first four seasons were in NAIA). His career college totals stand at 2,242 points and 1,355 career rebounds.

• Morehead State has three 1,000+ point college scorers on the same team this year. Alex Gross (2,242) and Branden Maughmer (1,835) already have well surpassed 1,000. Mark Freeman just got there too, now with 1,026.

Alex Gross leads the OVC in blocked shots with 27 and 1.5 per game. Gross has had at least one blocked shot in all 18 games. In combination with his first four years at Olivet Nazarene (Ill.), he now has 390 career college blocked shots.

• In the past three seasons, MSU is 32-4 at home and the Eagles are 20-2 in January games.

Mark Freeman is tied with SEMO's Phillip Russell for the best assist-turnover ratio (1.6) in the league.

Drew Thelwell has scored in double figures in six consecutive games, averaging 13.0 points in that span. Prior to the last six games in double figures, Thelwell ONLY had six career games with 10+ points. He has also averaged 34 minutes of court time in his last six games.

• Morehead State leads the OVC in free throw percentage (.745) and three-point defense. Despite giving up a 13-for-22 three-point day at Tech, the Eagles still defend the arc at only a 30 percent rate for opponents, which is top 20 in the nation.

• In the last six games, MSU has not missed more than six free throws in each of those contests.

• Among the 8 Division I men's basketball programs in Kentucky, Morehead State continues to rank first in wins in the last three seasons - 56.

• In the past three seasons, Morehead State is 51-1 when leading with a minute left in regulation time.

• MSU is 31-2 in the past three seasons when its opponent scores 60 or fewer points.
