RESULTS
LEXINGTON, Va. - Morehead State Rifle went on the road Saturday and prevailed at VMI. The Eagles bested the Keydets 4658-4553, while the VMI women's team scored 4382.
The Eagles fired a 2355 on the Air Rifle range and a 2303 in Smallbore.
In Air,
Andrew Morris led the charge with a 593.
Bryce Ward also chipped in, in the 590 club, with a 590.
Grace Weber (587) and
Hayden Bell (585) scored well, as did
Adrianna Beard with a 581. Not counting in the team score but scoring well were
Danielle Vigil with a 582 and
Cassidy Wilson with a 583
In Smallbore, Ward's 583 total led the way.
Holly Freeman (575) and Morris (571) contributed as well.
Elizabeth Plecity had a 564. Beard set a personal best with a 196 SB kneeling score, while Bell had his best-ever prone score at 198.
The Eagles' next action is set for Saturday at Jacksonville State.
