MOREHEAD, Ky. -- A 6-9 big man with loads of talent and potential has inked with the Morehead State men's basketball program. Khouri Carvey is from Wilson, N.C. and is currently at Brunswick (N.C.) Community College.
"We are excited to add Kouri to our program for next season," said head coach
Preston Spradlin. "He has already proven to be one of the premier forwards in all of junior college and we believe he is only scratching the surface. He chose to come here for the fit and the track record our program has with developing great big men. With his size, motor and skill set he will be a a terrific player in our system."
Carvey averaged 12.7 points and 7.2 rebounds while shooting 56 percent as a freshman in 2022-23. He was named NJCAA All-American as well as NJCAAÂ Region 10 Newcomer of the Year. He was First-Team All-Region and runner-up for MVP.Â
Carvey attended Wilson Community Christian School, where he was conference Player of the Year as a junior. He was then recruited to play on Lake Norman's (N.C.) national basketball traveling squad, playing in 22 different states.
He is the first signee for the class of 2024-25 for the Eagles.
