Preston Spradlin's full-time tenure (2017-18 to present) leading the the program the Eagles have put together at least a four-game success streak.
• Morehead State has shot 50 percent or better in three straight games. It's the first time since Jan. 28-Feb. 4 in 2021 that the team has hit 50 percent or better in three straight contests. In the last four seasons now, MSU is 33-2 when it hits 50 percent plus, from the field. Morehead State has also now won 23 consecutive games when its shooting percentage finishes at 50 percent or better.
• In the KenPom stats analysis, Morehead State ranks 16th in the nation in limiting opponents' time of possession per possession. Opponents only have been able to hold the ball for an average of 15.9 seconds of the shot clock each time.

Riley Minix earned his second Player and Newcomer of the Week honor from the OVC last week. The 6-7 forward averaged 21 points and 10 rebounds with a career high 25 points, plus a double-double of 11 rebounds, versus Chattanooga. Minix averages team highs of 17.8 points and 8.3 rebounds.

Drew Thelwell could become the winningest individual player in program history this season. If the Eagles win 14 more games, that will give the four-year Eagle 88 wins when he was on the team. That would surpass Terrence Hill, who was a part of 87 wins from 2008-09 through 2011-12.
• Morehead State saw three players record double-doubles (
Riley Minix,
Dieonte Miles,
Eddie Ricks III) in the win over Midway (Ky.). According to records, its the first game with three double-doubles since at least 2001-02.
• Both
Drew Thelwell and
Riley Minix scored 25 points in the win over Chattanooga Dec. 3. According to records, its the first time in more than 25 seasons with two players recording 25+ points in the same game.

• Morehead State leads the Ohio Valley Conference in field goal percentage (.471) and field goal percentage defense (.408).

Kalil Thomas has scored 66 of his 94 points this season from three-point range. That's 70 percent of his scoring output. In his career (including three seasons at UMass-Lowell), he's scored 868 points, with 540 coming from three-point range.
