MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Rifle opened the 2024 portion of the schedule Saturday at Akron. The Eagles finished with a 4,637 score but fell to the Zips who totaled 4,693.
In Air Rifle,
Hayden Bell was the Eagles' top scorer with a 588.
Cassidy Wilson was close behind with a 586.
Adrianna Beard (585),
Bryce Ward (584) and
Andrew Morris (582) rounded out the counters for the Eagles on the Air range.
Ward led the team in Smallbore, scoring a 580.
Holly Freeman (573),
Maria Koenig (571), Wilson (570) and Beard (566) were also on the lineup card. Bell was not in the counters but hit the targets at a 574 rate.
The Eagles return to action next Saturday as they host former OVC rival Jacksonville State at Button Range.
