MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Rifle battled former OVC rival Jacksonville State Saturday. The Eagles shot a 4,662 but came up just short as the Gamecocks shot a 4,682.
In Air Rifle,
Andrew Morris led the way with a 592, while
Hayden Bell wasn't far behind with a 588.
Adrianna Beard fired a 587,
Bryce Ward and
Maria Koenig were at 584, and
Cooper Gray fashioned a 580.Â
On the Smallbore range,
Holly Freeman's 582 was the top score, followed by Ward (579) and Koenig (577). Morris shot a 582 to tie Freeman but was not in the counters. Bell (573) and Beard (571) rounded out the scorers.
The Eagles finished at 2,351 for Air and 2,311 for Smallbore.Â
MSU's next action is next weekend when they host the OVC Championships.
