MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Rifle is set to continue its 2024-25 season Saturday when the Eagles head to former Ohio Valley Conference foe Jacksonville State. The match is slated to begin around 9 a.m. ET.
MSU is coming off its season-open match where Kentucky out-gunned the Eagles 4721-4637.
Last season JSU edged the Eagles twice, with the match in Alabama coming down to a margin of only one point. The Gamecocks topped the Eagles by 20 in January in Morehead. Two seasons ago, the Eagles scored 4673 and defeated JSU in its home range.
Veterans
Adrianna Beard and
Hayden Bell led MSU in its season-opening match at Kentucky, with Beard firing a 591 in Air Rifle. Bell tied his best-ever Smallbore total at 577.
Head coach
Alan Joseph has five freshman along with five returnees for the roster this season.
