MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Adrianna Beard set the school Smallbore individual record Saturday as the Morehead State rifle team finished off its home schedule with a flourish in a 4,672-4,420 win over VMI.
Beard fired a 590 in Smallbore to set the record. The Eagles' 2,322 Smallbore team score tied for the second highest ever in program history. MSU fashioned a 2,350 in Air Rifle.
In Smallbore, besides Beard, the Eagles also got a 583 from
Bryce Ward, 575 from
Andrew Morris, 574 from
Hayden Bell, 574 from
Maria Koenig and 574 from
Holly Freeman.
In Air, the Eagles had the top seven scores. Morris led the way with a 591. Other positive scores included Beard (589), Bell (588),
Cooper Gray (585), Koenig (582), Ward (581) and Freeman (578).
Several personal bests happened today too, including:Â
Adrianna Beard: Kneeling High of 197; Standing High of 195; Combined High of 1179, (590 SB + 589 AR).
Hayden Bell: Tied Prone High of 198
Maria Koenig: Set new Prone High of 198
Andrew Morris: Tied Prone High of 199
The final match of the season is set for 9 a.m. ET next Saturday at Kentucky for the NCAA Qualifier.
