Morehead, Ky.-- The Morehead State women's basketball team returns to play Saturday when they trek to Cookeville, Tenn., to take on Tennessee Tech. The game can be heard on the Eagle Sports Network (flagship WIVY 96.3 FM) with Tom Lewis on the call. The game can be seen on ESPN+. Tipoff is scheduled for 2:00 ET.

Maia Rosarion recorded her first career double-double, posting 12 points and pulling down a career-high 11 rebounds.
Kate Novik added 11 for the Eagles.
Tennessee Tech comes into the game off a 83-79 win over Southern Indiana Thursday in Cookeville. The Golden Eagles were led by a pair of 23-point performances. Reghan Grimes picked up a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds, and Keely Carter poured in 223, hitting on all six of her three-point attempts. Peyton Carter added 11 for TTU.

• Saturday's game at Tennessee Tech marks the second of a four-game road swing for Morehead State. From Cookeville, the Eagles will travel to Little Rock to play next Thursday and then on to Cape Girardeau to face off with Southeast Missouri next Saturday. MSU will return to Johnson Arena on January 16th when they host Western Illinois.
Morehead State ranks first in the Ohio Valley Conference with 12.9 steals per game (that ranks 16th nationally). MSU ranks second in blocked shots (4.2 per game, 63rd nationally) behind Tennessee Tech (4.8 per game, 30th nationally).
• MSU was out-rebounded Tuesday at Southern Indiana 41-36. That marks the second game in OVC play where the Eagles have loss the battle on the boards. On the season MSU has a -0.2 rebounding margin, which ranks fourth in the conference. Tennessee Tech leads the OVC with a +6.42 margin on the glass. The Golden Eagles out-boarded Southern Indiana 36-33 on Thursday.

Maia Rosarion posted her first career double-double with 12 points and a career-high 11 rebounds Tuesday at Southern Indiana. She shot 5-9 from the floor and also posted a career-high with three steals. Morehead State has posted five double-doubles on the year, led by
Kate Novik with three this season.

Kate Novik notched scored 11 points Tuesday at Southern Indiana. Novik has scored in double figures in every game this season except for at Louisville (11/21) and against UT Martin (12/19). She is averaging 14.7 points per game which leads the team and ranks fourth in the OVC. She is second on the team in rebounds (5.8 RPG, 9th in OVC). She also leads the team in assists (66, 5.1 APG, 1st in OVC and 43rd in the nation), steals (39, 3.0 per game, tied for 2nd in OVC and 15th nationally), free throw percentage (80.0%, 8th in OVC), field goal percentage (49.3%, 2nd in OVC), assists/turnover ratio (1.20, 8th in OVC), and defensive rebounds per game (5.0, 5th in OVC).

The game marks the third 20+ point performance of the season and the sixth game hitting double figures. She averages 11.5 points per game, ranking second on the team and 15th in the OVC. Leading the barrage is Peyton Carter who leads the conference with 32 made threes and hitting 39% on the year.
