MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State women's golf finished with a solid third place finish at the Lady Red Wolves Classic, hosted by Arkansas State, this week.Â
At the Sage Meadows Country Club, the Eagles fashioned a two-day effort of 292-284-291--867 to conclude in a tiw with West Georgia for third place. MSU defeated its fellow Ohio Valley Conference foe Little Rock by one stroke as well.
Senior
Tuva Marie Isebakke and freshman
Margaret Ulrich both paced the Eagle lineup. Isebakke finished in a tie for 16th at 75-67-74--216, while Ulrich joined in the pack at 16th with a score of 75-73-68--216.
Junior
Claudia Hofmeister was not far behind, in 23rd place, with a scorecard of 70-71-76--217. Seniro
Amelia Rae Greenlee (76-73-73--222) and junior
Isabella Wiley (72-74-77--223) rounded out the lineup.
MSU also had a pair of individual players. Sophomore transfer
Meri Illamola saw her first action as an Eagle, carding 72-70-80--222. Freshman
Morgan Kennedy (79-76-78--233) was the final Eagle to score.
Morehead State has one final fall event on Oct. 31-Nov. 2 at the Robbie (hosted by Lipscomb) in Alabama.
