MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Rifle returns home to host UT Martin this weekend. The Eagles and Skyhawks will go shoulder to shoulder on Friday and Saturday at Button Rifle Range.
Friday's action will fire off at 9 a.m. ET, and Saturday will begin at 8:15 a.m.
MSU will look to get back in the win column after back-to-back setbacks to Jacksonville State and Akron. However, MSU did move up one spot in the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association rankings this week to No. 16. UTM is No. 20.
The teams split a pair of matches in Morehead last year, but the Eagles have won 14 of the last 15 matchups with the Skyhawks in shoulder to shoulder duals.
In Air Rifle, seniors
Hayden Bell and
Adrianna Beard are tied for the team lead in average at 591.7. Smallbore sees Beard lead the squad with a 582.0 standard.
The lineup for Friday (for both guns) is: Beard, Bell,
George Kuhne,
Trey Myers and
Chloe Shannon. Saturday's squad lists will be determined after the match Friday.
