MOREHEAD, Ky. --
Morehead State Rifle put together its third-best Air Rifle score in program history, leading to a second consecutive win over Mount Aloysius (Pa.) Sunday at Button Rifle Range.

The Eagles carded a 2,366 in Air and added 2,305 in Smallbore to top the Mounties 4,671-4538.

The air total was highlighted by Adrianna Beard tying her personal high with a 595, including 48 center shots (which makes it her personal best). Sophomore Trey Myers also established a career-best with a 595 and 48 centers too. Senior Hayden Bell shot 591, and sophomore Chloe Shannon and freshman Hannah Goin each totaled 585.

In Smallbore, the team leader was Bell by tying his career high-water mark of 581. He tied his kneeling MSU best at 194. Myers had a nice day as well, with a 579. The Eagles' three others - sophomore George Kuhne (575), Shannon (570) and Goin (558) - rounded out the lineup. Goin's 194 prone was her best.

Myers' combined score of 1,174 established his best combo total for his career. While not in the counters, Kuhne tied his career best in Air at 592.

Mount Aloysius got a team-best 592 showing by Molly Miller.

Morehead State stays at home next weekend, hosting former OVC rival Jacksonville State on Saturday.
