RESULTS
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Rifle completed a weekend sweep over visiting UT Martin Saturday as the Eagles bested the Skyhawks 4,675-4,631 at Button Range.
MSU moved to 4-2 on the season and won against UTM for the 16th time in the last 17 shoulder-to-shoulder matches.
In Air Rifle, MSU totaled 2357, led by senior
Adrianna Beard's 592. Fellow upperclassman
Hayden Bell carded a 590, and sophomore
George Kuhne was close behind at 589. Sophomore
Trey Myers (586) and sophomore
Chloe Shannon (580) closed out the lineup.Â
The Smallbore counters saw Beard also lead the Eagles with a 583. She tied her prone career-best at 199. Myers' 581 was next as he also tied his prone best at 199. Shannon fired a 579, while Bell and Kuhne finished at 575.
Freshman
Hannah Goin was a highlight for the remainder of the Eagles. She set career bests in Smallbore kneeling (195), prone (197), total Smallbore (579) and combined score (1165) (SB 579 + AR 586).
MSU remains at home next weekend when it hosts VMI Saturday and Memphis Sunday.
